Kriya/Purification Yoga Workshop
with Mokshapriya

In this workshop we will review and practice kriyas/purification techniques as well as mudras and bandhas. Kriyas are techniques aimed at cleansing the body. The word kriya means “action”. They are practiced to balance our physiology and to clear channels of our body that are blocked with impurities. Kriyas can also be performed in connection with asanas as a way of generating more prana.

Mudras and Bandhas are also important practices, because the essence of Hatha Yoga and particularly Pranayama is to regulate, harmonize and channel Prana. Mudras means “seals” and are used to retain the Prana. This increases the energy levels and brings a greater feeling of harmony and wholeness. Bandhas are then practiced in order to then channel the prana. Bandha means to bind, so we are binding the prana to the focus of meditation.

Mother Earth Meditation

Through our collective energies we have the power to make change. This is  an ongoing series of World Peace Meditations. Workshop with Sandi Pina
Sunday May 20, 2018 2 – 6 p.m.

Yoga flow is an energetic practice that can be done either at a moderate or slightly more quicker pace.  Yoga flow connects the asana practice with the breath as one threads one asana to the next as Pantajali explains in the Sutras.

This workshop explores the connection from pose to pose while focusing on flexibility, strength, rhythm and concentration on the breath and inward focus.  We will work with various types of flows and sequencing.  Each person will have the opportunity to explore their own flow as we work together and share ideas and techniques.

This workshop is opened to yoga students and instructors (CEU) and we invite you to GO WITH THE FLOW. Fee $50
