Melba Ariza
Melba Ariza She has several years of experience teaching yoga and many more of personal practice. She is highly qualified and an excellent teacher, who teaches with compassion and patience.
Melba graduated from St. John’s University in Psychology and from Sofia University in Psychology with concentration in Transpersonal Psychology. She made her research with children ages 10-12 on “Psycho-spiritual Training as Steps to Peaceful Children”. She is trained on Montessori Early Childhood, has experience in Social Work and Counseling and serves as a volunteer translator of the Spanish and English languages for non-profit organizations in New York.

Mokshapriya Shakti Ph.D.
Mokhapriya is an Ordained Minister and certified Yoga instructor with over 30 years Yoga experience, both teaching and personal practice. She prepares and gives Yoga retreats, workshops and classes. In 1992 She set aside a long professional career in the printing business to dedicate more time to community service and the propagation of Yoga. Mokshapriya received her Ph.D.in Education by researching and writing a “Comprehensive Eclectic Yoga Program: A Strategy for Self-Improvement” Curriculum for College. Mokshapriya and Marianne Mitsinikos founded the Yoga Teachers Training Institute and (YTTI) has trained over 300 teachers in the New York area.

Sandy Pina
Sandi has been teaching our Monday night yoga class since 2008.The class is designed to focus on alignment, flow and to experiment with poses that challenge your mind and body to go further and reach your inner hidden yogic potential. Hence, the class is more intense but she makes it fun. Sandi has been teaching throughout the New York area since her graduation from YTTI in 2006 after many years of personal practice. She continues her yoga studies by taking workshops and training courses and is influenced by the many wonderful teachers that she is blessed to study with.

Sita believes that Yoga sadhana allows her to show up in the world as the best version of herself. She is honored and privileged to be able to practice yoga, learn about yoga and share her knowledge. Teaching is Sita’s service . It is her way of saying thank you; her way of giving back. She graduated from YTTI in 2014 and teaches the Wednesday Evening class.

Valerie Nichols
My current teaching schedule includes classes in nursing homes, senior centers, yoga studios (including the ashram in Queens), athletic clubs, for corporations and for private clients. I am also the Director of Asana Training at the Yoga Teachers Training Institute (YTTI). In addition to being a storyteller, I am a Reiki & IET practitioner and teacher. To tell a story is a gift from the heart. Teaching yoga is also a gift from the heart. Let our hearts be open to receive from each other!
