Our conscious mind contains those things that we have accepted as valid and true, either positive or negative. It stores and is influenced and controlled by impulses, beliefs, addictions, and the worldly collective consciousness via our subconscious. The conscious mind is constantly affected by our subconscious mind and brings in all past experiences into the present.
The whole world is full of wonder and excitement. But we can not experience it, because we are confined by our world view.
World view is the way we look and understand the world. It is the lens through which we interpret all of our experiences, make decisions that make sense of life. Each individual has a unique world view.
That which we fear or struggle against, we empower or draw to us. They are fragments of ourselves. We need to identify them. We have tried to ignore them for too long and pretending that they do not exist. That does not work, sooner or later they produce a strong emotional response. At times we can feel as if we do not have control of our life.
If we could look at reflection as an exciting journey into fulfilling our life, we would practice diligently. We are not trained to understand that our thoughts are as powerful as our actions.
No matter what, we need to do our best in all situations, be it at work, or studying, or interacting with others, or in relationships, or family. When we do our best, we will feel fulfilled. Most times we are not doing our best. We may feel entitled, tired, confused, or distracted and not do our best. This will express itself in inadequacy, insecurity, boredom, lack of purpose and general discontent. To compensate, the ego finds reasons outside of ourselves and will blame others or the world.
World view is the way we look and understand the world. It is the lens through which we interpret all of our experiences, make decisions that make sense of life. A sum total of our beliefs about the world. Each individual has a unique world view.
